Kumulus Partners acted as M&A adviser to the Abbey of Westmalle in the sale of De Achelse Kluis.
De Achelse Kluis, located in beautiful Hamont-Achel, is the brewer of one of Belgian’s famous Trappist beers. After the retirement of the last Trappist fathers, the decision was made to seek a new owner.
Kumulus prepared the company for sale, identified potential buyers, conducted a competitive process and led the deal negotiations up to signing and closing.
