Henk Vivile is chairman and founding partner of Kumulus. After a career start in audit and corporate finance with Price Waterhouse in Brussels and the UK, Henk joined the investment banking team of Bank Degroof in 1997. He remained with Degroof Petercam for over 20 years and became managing director and Head of M&A of Degroof Petercam Corporate Finance.

Henk has been in charge of a wide range of M&A transactions such as the acquisition of a minority stake in SD Worx by CVC, the sale of Veldeman to IK Partners, the sale of VK architects+engineers to Sweco, the sale of Marelec to Duravant, the sale of LS Bedding to Waterland, the sale of Incendin to Straco, the sale of Sipwell to Primo Water Corp, the acquisition of Ceres Pharma by Naxicap, the sale of Smartschool (to Cegeka), the sale of Alro Group (to Gimv), the family buyout of the Verhelst Group, the sale of Trustteam (to Ardian), the sale of Vio (to Down2Earth and later on to SD Worx), the acquisition of Meneba (by Dossche Mills), the sale of a minority stake of Cegeka (to Gimv), the sale of Gemaco (to capiton), the acquisition of VCST (by BMT), the sale of Fabrelac (to Friesland Campina), the merger between Corelio and Concentra, the acquisition of MGL (by Concentra), the sale of Utopolis (to Kinepolis), the sale of Family Services (to Primavista), the acquisition of Vemedia (by IK Investment Partners), and many more.

Henk holds a degree in Commercial Engineering from Solvay Business School and a degree in Tax from Fiscale Hogeschool Brussels.

Johan Verstraeten is a founding partner of Kumulus. After a career start in audit with KPMG, Johan has been active in corporate finance since 2001 when he joined Bank Degroof. He remained with Degroof Petercam for 17 years, becoming member of the board of Degroof Petercam Corporate Finance in 2016.

Johan is mainly active on private M&A transactions such as the family buyout of the Verhelst Group, the sale of ACV International (to Groupe Atlantic), the sale of Connex Group (to Stanley Black & Decker), Utopia (to Kinepolis), Verellen (to Scandinavian Tobacco Group), P&V Luxembourg (to Baloise) and the merger of Corelio and Concentra into Mediahuis. He has a special focus on family-owned business.

Johan holds a degree in Commercial Engineering from University of Leuven (KUL) and followed an additional year in Financial Management at the Vlerick School for Management, Ghent.

Bart Collier is a founding partner of Kumulus. Bart started his career with Bank Degroof in 2004 as Asset Manager in its Private Banking division. After developing his client portfolio in the Independent Professionals and UHNWI segment, he joined Degroof Corporate Finance in 2010. He remained with Degroof Petercam Corporate Finance as Senior Manager until the founding of Kumulus in June 2018.

Bart has advised on numerous M&A transactions such as – most recently – the sale of Marelec to Duravant, the sale of Touring to AG Insurance and BNP Paribas Fortis, the sale of Groep Autoveiligheid to AG Insurance, the sale of Vincent Logistics to Groupe Berto, the sale of Smartschool (to Cegeka), the capital raising of Dentius, the sale of Group A (Belisol and KwadrO) in an MBO transaction, the sale of Prodata (to NRB), the sale of Grandeco (to Down2Earth), the sale of Trustteam (to Ardian), the sale of Vio (to Down2Earth and later on to SD Worx), the sale of Medialaan (to De Persgroep), the acquisition of Mediafin (by Roularta) and the acquisition of Zuidnatie (by Paul Feys).

Bart holds a degree in Commercial Engineering from the University of Antwerp (UA).

Ruben Goeman is a founding partner of Kumulus. Ruben started his career in the Private Banking department of Bank Degroof in 2010 as an asset manager. In this function, he advised clients in their investment decisions with a focus on Family Business Owners and UHNW Individuals. In 2015, he started working for EY as a Manager in Valuation & Business Modeling, where he left in 2016 to join the Degroof Petercam Corporate Finance team.

Ruben’s focus is on M&A. Recently completed transactions include the sale of Tech Tribes (to NPM Capital), the investment of a 51% stake in Sofico (by Astorg), the sale of Irmaco (to Group MC), the acquisition of Trustteam (by Rivean), the sale of LS Bedding (to Waterland) and the sale of Incendin (to Straco).

He holds a degree in Commercial Engineering from the University of Leuven (KUL) and followed an additional advanced master in Financial  Economics.

David Leurs is an Associate at Kumulus. David gained M&A transaction experience at Eight Advisory both in the UK and Belgium, where he supported the launch of the Brussels office. Before that, he completed the M&A (Deals) rotations program at PwC. After co-founding a start-up in connected parcel boxes, David continued to assist entrepreneurs with their corporate finance quests. In October 2023 he joined our growing team.

David has worked on the acquisition of Agilitas (by Groupe Proman), the sale of Cooper Parry (to Waterland), the sale of Recticel Bedding (to Aquinos), the minority sale of Studio 1000 (to 3d investors), the sale of De Mensen (to Newen), the investment in Birdie (by Sofina), the acquisition of Xplus (by M80), the acquisition of Sofico (by Apheon) and the acquisitions of Base Logistics (to Staci (held by Ardian))

David holds a Master’s degree in Business Engineering from the University of Leuven (KUL).

Yannick Michiels is an Associate at Kumulus. Yannick started his career with a private equity internship at 3d investors. After a successful internship at Kumulus, he permanently joined the team upon completion of his studies.

Yannick has contributed to the sale of Tech Tribes (to NPM Capital), the investment of a 51% stake in Sofico (by Astorg), the acquisition of a minority stake in SD Worx (by CVC), the sale of VK architects+engineers (to Sweco), the sale of Marelec (to Duravant), the sale of Irmaco (to Group MC) and the sale of Incendin (to Straco).

He holds a master’s degree in Business Engineering: Management Information Systems from the University of Antwerp (UA) and an additional master’s degree in Finance & Investments from Rotterdam School of Management (RSM).

Isaak Hölzken is an Associate at Kumulus. He started his career with an internship at KBC Securities Corporate Finance, followed by two years of job experience at Deloitte Financial Advisory where he assisted both corporates and private equity firms during transaction processes.

Isaak joined Kumulus in April 2022 and has subsequently worked on the successful sale of Ide Group to PGS Group and the sale of Irmaco on behalf of Finco.

He holds a master’s degree in Business Engineering at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven).

Lore Mouton is an Analyst at Kumulus. She started her career with internships at Integra Partners and Kumulus before accepting a position as Analyst in February 2023.

Emeric is an Analyst at Kumulus. He started his career with an internship at Sofindev Private Equity where he assisted the investment team with portfolio value creation.

Emeric has contributed to the sale of Ide Group to PGS Group and the sale of Hertecant Flanges to Special Flanges.

Emeric has a bilingual background and holds a master’s degree in Business Economics from the University of Leuven (KUL). Furthermore, he holds an additional master’s degree in Financial Management from the Vlerick Business School, Brussels.

Jarne is an Analyst at Kumulus. He started his career as an auditor at KPMG, followed by a successful internship at Kumulus, which ultimately led to his current position as an Analyst.

Jarne holds two master’s degrees from Ghent University, one in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and Risk Management, and the other in Business Economics with a focus on Corporate Finance. Further enhancing his skill set, Jarne also completed a Specialized Master in Big Data and Business Analytics at ESCP Europe Business School.

Hilde Tastenhoye is our Office Manager, responsible for overseeing overall administrative tasks. Prior to joining Kumulus, Hilde worked for Siemens for more than 25 years, serving as an Events Manager and Marketing Communication Adviser.

In her current position at Kumulus, Hilde is an all-around team player and supports the colleagues in their daily work.

Hilde holds a degree in Public Relations and Modern Languages from the Hogeschool Erasmus, Leuven.
