Kumulus Partners acted as the exclusive financial adviser of the shareholders of Dierickx Leys Private Bank in the sale to Delen.
With a history starting since 1901, Dierickx Leys developed into a full-fledged private bank, managing around EUR 3 billion in assets for its customers. With a clear focus on a straightforward commercial offering and a strong internal culture, the bank enjoys a very high appreciation amongst its clients.
Dierickx Leys was one of the few remaining family-owned, independent players in the Belgian wealth management sector. This resulted in an auction process with strong interest from multiple parties, and ultimately in an agreement with Delen Private Bank. The choice for Delen was also driven by the close fit between both groups in market position and culture.
Kumulus Partners advised the shareholding families Dierickx, Leys, Hendrickx and De Vrij and the management of the company in this transaction. The parties are currently in the process of obtaining approval from the regulatory authorities.
